Who uses this app

phone-backup is a personal tool used only by its owner to back up the owner's own home server. It has no other users.

What Google data the app accesses

The app requests the Google Drive drive.file scope. With this scope it can only create, read and update the files it uploads itself. It cannot see or change any other files in the Google Drive account.

How the data is used

The app uploads encrypted backup files (database dumps, file attachments and server configuration) to a single folder in the owner's Google Drive and reads them back only when a restore is needed.

Sharing and storage

• Data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
• Backups are encrypted before they leave the server; Google Drive stores only encrypted content.
• OAuth tokens are stored only on the owner's own devices.

Revoking access

Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access. Deleting the backup folder in Google Drive removes the stored data.
